Whether you contribute or simply share, you're helping rewrite the fashion narrative for those who’ve been overlooked.
Bahawear® was born from exclusion — not just as a brand, but as a response. When our founder wasn’t offered the same size-inclusive costume options as others, she was handed scraps and told to make it work. So she did — while in college she began by building her own costume on an ironing board and crafting her first pair of shoes at a her study desk.
That act of creativity sparked a quiet revolution. Soon, others came forward —men and women who didn’t wear standard sizes but still wanted to shine during Junkanoo rush- out, at Carnival, parties, and cultural events. They didn’t want to shrink themselves to fit in — they wanted to show up as they were and be celebrated.
That’s what Bahawear® is about.
From handmade costumes and accessories created in America to unforgettable pop-ups and cultural weekends, the Bahawear® team has made it clear: everyone deserves fashion that fits and celebrates them. Now, it’s time for the next big move — opening our first retail location: The Bahawear® Store.
🛍️ Why The Bahawear® Store Matters
This won’t be just a store. It will be a year-round sports and cultural hub — a destination for Home Decor, Clothing, Carnival, Junkanoo, Samba looks, straw hats, shoes, scarves, jewelry, sportswear and accessories that are as bold and vibrant as our customers.

Build lasting relationships beyond pop-ups
Show up in a bold way — every day in a Retail Space
💸 What We Need and How the Funds Will Be Used
As a grassroots, self-funded brand, we’re proud of how far we’ve come. But to bring The Bahawear® Shop to life, we need a community-powered push.
We’re raising $8,000 to $10,000 to launch and operate our mall kiosk location, broken down as follows:
$3,000 – First month’s mall kiosk rental + deposit
$2,000 – Inventory (costumes, accessories, hats, packaging)
$1,500 – Signage, branding, and visual displays
$1,500 – POS system, Wi-Fi, and staffing
$1,000 – Launch marketing + local promo events
